August was busy! We finished July with that wedding rehearsal gig in Montana, and August 1, we packed up and flew west to the California State Fair. Saturday, August 1, 2026: Bozeman, MT to Sacramento, CA. We had a 10:30 AM lobby call to head off on the next trip. Kip and I went a little bit early to deal with all of my instrument cases. Once I got through security (which felt a little worrisome because of lots of travelers moving through a small airport), I found a place where I could snag a burrito for lunch. We had plenty of time before boarding, so I walked laps from one end of the terminal to the other---trying to stay off my phone. The first leg of today went to Salt Lake City. I ate my burrito somewhere out there, took a nap, and tried hard to ignore the screaming kid behind me (it was bad enough that the lady next to me turned around to check out the the situation).
